.INSURANCE Eligibility

To register domain names in .INSURANCE, your organization must be eligible and the domain name(s) you select must correspond to your organization’s legal name or branding (e.g., trademark, trade name, service mark). The Policies linked below provide the complete eligibility requirements.

Organization (Registrant) Eligibility

To become a .INSURANCE Registrant, your organization must be one of the following government regulated entities:

  1. Insurance company
  2. Insurance agent/agency, broker/brokerage or other equivalents (e.g., intermediaries, representatives)
  3. Insurance holding or parent companies

Other eligible organizations include:

  1. Associations or groups of associations whose membership is primarily comprised of the above regulated entities
  2. Government regulators of insurance companies, insurance agents/agencies, brokers/brokerages or other equivalents (e.g., intermediaries, representatives) or organizations whose members are primarily comprised of such government regulators (if approved by the fTLD Board)

Domain Name Eligibility

Domain names must correspond to organization’s legal name or branding (e.g., trademark, trade name, service mark) in bona fide use for the offering of goods or services, or provision of information, in the jurisdiction where the organization is licensed, approved or certified to conduct business. A registered trademark is not required to register a domain name.
