fTLD Registry Services’ (fTLD) domains, .BANK and .INSURANCE, will become the first non-Google Top-Level Domains (TLDs) to enforce HTTPS secure encryption via the HSTS preload list beginning January 18, 2018.
fTLD’s .BANK and .INSURANCE domains get security boost in web browsers with their addition to the preload list for HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS). This security policy will enforce secure connections between web browsers and all websites across .BANK and .INSURANCE.

fTLD’s Operating Manager recently approved a revision to the use restriction applicable to Service Providers that removes the prohibition on using a .INSURANCE domain name for marketing purposes. The use restriction specified in the Implementation Guidelines annexed to the Registrant Eligibility Policy for .INSURANCE, accessible at https://www.register.insurance/policies, has been updated to reflect this change.
